Riley: #4 (Kelly Clan) Page 5
She slipped two fingers deep inside her and wiggled them. She pulled them out to run them over her hard clit.
Suddenly, Riley pulled out of her mouth and lifted her up in his arms.
“Wrap your arms around my neck,” he said.
He hooked her legs over the crook of his arms and quickly Anna wrapped her arms around his neck. The head of his cock pressed against her center.
She stared at him as he guided her down over him while standing. In this position, he filled her more than he had the other times they had been together.
Her insides quaked around him, eager for the orgasm that wasn’t far away.
Riley placed his hands on her ass and spread her open as he hammered into her.
He pounded her deep inside, his coarse hairs rubbing against her clit as he slammed into her.
Anna leaned forward and placed her mouth on his. She kissed him hard, her arms wrapped around his neck, feeling the hard muscles there working as he continued to slam into her. The warmth and pressure built in her center with each thrust.
She pulled away and panted for air, her orgasm now just moments away.
“Riley,” she cried out. “I’m so—”
“Come, baby,” he said. “Squeeze me with your pussy.”
Anna shivered at his words. The erotic way he brought out her orgasm never failed to surprise her.
Riley slammed hard into her, and she came around him. She shook and cried out as the orgasm shot through her.
He stilled inside her a moment, then hammered into her hard, bringing out new ripples as she crested once again. His hot cum shot deep inside her, filling her with his warm seed.
Anna trembled against him as she struggled to regain some sort of sense in between the residual pulses of her orgasm.
She moaned loudly as Riley shifted her in his arms. The feel of him deep inside made her muscles work there. He walked with her in his arms to the bedroom, still buried deep inside.
“Round two,” he said. He twitched inside her.
Her eyes widened with shock. “Round two?”
Riley gave a small chuckle. “Oh, I am far from done with you.” He gave her a quick kiss. “Far from done with you and your dirty little mouth.”
Anna blushed but licked her lips. He groaned at the action, and she couldn’t help feel like perhaps she was slightly more dirty than she thought because all she could think about was what he had in store for her. Much longer with Riley, and she’d be ruined for any other man.
If she wasn’t already.
Chapter Eight
When Anna woke the next morning, Riley had already left for the day.
He’d placed a small note next to her alarm by the bed. The note was simple. He’d left his number for her to call him later on with his name scrawled at the bottom.
Once again she was left feeling conflicted over her feelings for Riley. Every part of her liked him. He was sweet and kind in just about all ways. The sex was explosive, ridiculously better than she’d ever had with any man her entire life. She already was eagerly looking forward to spending more time with him.
He thought about things that she liked and wanted to shared his time with her, but the idea of being with a mobster wasn’t exactly ideal.
It meant a certain type of lifestyle, and despite how hard the Kellys were trying to leave all that behind, the past clung to every part of their daily routine, and they still had very real threats, like the Russians, that she doubted they could take care of without resorting to violence.
The previous night when Riley had talked about what he did for Finn, she knew there was more to it. More than enough to disturb her. But like he had said, he would share if she asked, and Anna wasn’t really sure she wanted to know.
Besides, she had other things to do than sit around and worry over Riley.
She shook her head and took another drink from her coffee mug and placed it on to the dresser beside her mirror. She stared at her reflection and gave a nod.
She’d wound her long blonde hair into a nice bun on the back of her head. She decided on a black and striped pencil skirt and cream-colored blouse for her meeting with Maxwell.
It wasn’t that she needed to impress him, but it certainly didn’t hurt.
Maxwell Cross was a man who could bring people to the top and could take them right back down. He’d already been influential in helping Claire both during and after the election, and Anna wanted to make sure that they stayed on his good side.
She grabbed her purse and made her way down to the car.
The drive over was mostly quiet. It was strange to her to not be going to the office first thing in the morning but nice to not have to fight the morning traffic. Between that and her night with Riley, she was in a good, relaxed headspace for the meeting.
She parked outside the beautiful new building and made her way up the elevator to the top floor where a receptionist met her.
The sweet receptionist smiled at her as she stepped out of the elevator.
“Mr. Cross is waiting for you,” the woman said. She gestured down the hallway.
Anna nodded and made her way down the hallway to a giant set of double doors. Maxwell certainly knew how to make an impression on people as they came into his office.
Still, from their prior dealings, she’d gotten the impression that despite his wealth and influence, the man wasn’t arrogant or rude to anyone who didn’t deserve it. The thought helped set her even further at ease.
She gently knocked on the door.
“Please come in,” he called from inside.
She entered.
Maxwell looked up from his desk and smiled. “Oh, Anna, it’s so good to see you.”
She chuckled to herself as he stood from his desk. Once again he was back in his tweed jacket with patches at the elbows. Not at all what she expected from such a wealthy man, but maybe that was what made him so easy to talk to.
Anna step forward and shook hands with the older man. She smiled warmly at him.
“Thank you for having me,” she said. “I’m anxious to hear what it is you have to offer.”
Maxwell waved a hand over to the seat in front of his desk and sat back down in his chair.
“A gala,” he said.
Anna took in a deep breath. Neither Claire or herself were fans of going to events like that, but they were helpful in securing backers in the campaign.
Claire’s marriage to Conor had complicated the situation, and now more than ever, she needed support in the community, particularly in the form of money.
“You know Claire isn’t going to like this,” she said.
Maxwell gave a little chuckle and waved a hand. “That’s why I’m letting you tell her for me. We both know this is one of the best ways to help Claire shore up further support.”
Anna shook her head. Being the campaign manager for Claire had turned into quite the ordeal. Claire could be stubborn, and sometimes it was hard to make her see reason.
Not that Anna couldn’t make her. She was equally as stubborn, especially when it came to finances, and she would do what it took to make sure they got what they needed.
She let out a great sigh. It’d be an annoying battle, but a necessary one. She pulled out her pad of paper and pencil and started making notes.
“If we’re going to do this,” she said. “Then I want every last detail. The last thing we need at this point is any surprises.”
Maxwell gave another little chuckle. He pressed the button on his desk, and Anna could hear the receptionist out front speak up clearly.
“Yes, sir?”
“Clear my morning,” Maxwell said. “We’ve got some planning to do.”
* * *
It’d been a productive morning. Maxwell had explained his ideas and plans in detail, and Anna felt that with a few minor adjustments, this whole event could turn out to be very good for Claire. For both of them, really.
She looked at the list on her notepad and mentally made adjustments to whe
re she needed to go for some of the essentials. There were a few she knew offhand, but if she really wanted to make the most of the situation, she needed a particular box.
She sighed. The box had been at her old home prior to the divorce, which meant now it was in the storage unit Jason had mentioned.
It’d be inconvenient, but it had some old contact information that’d really help the gala planning event process. The only reason she hadn’t worried it about earlier is that she hadn’t had to worry about an event of that scale since the campaign.
She stepped up to the parking lot, and her phone rang. Anna pulled it out of her purse and frowned at the number. It wasn’t one that she’d seen before, but it might be a vendor calling. She definitely couldn’t afford to screw up her supply chain this early into things.
“Hello?” she said.
“You didn’t call me,” Riley said. His deep, thick voice came in over the line.
Anna’s heart thumped wildly in her chest. It was crazy to have feelings for a man like this, especially after such a short time, but just the sound of his voice excited her in a way she never had experienced before, almost like a drug.
“Sorry,” she said softly. “I was in a meeting with Maxwell. He thinks we should cohost a gala to get Claire more visibility and backers. Marrying Conor just solidified with some people her inevitable ties with the Mafia.”
“Is that so?” he said.
“And it’s not as bad is could be, given that a lot of people are crediting Claire for ‘taming the Kelly family’ and that sort of thing. It’s just that politics is all about optics.” Anna slipped a wisp of hair behind her ear. “I don’t mean that in a bad way,” she said. “I mean, that’s not how I feel. Conor and Claire really love each other, and that’s all that really matters.”
She was relieved when Riley chuckled in her ear.
“I agree,” he said.
Anna pulled out her keys and made her way over to the car. She hit the unlock button and slipped inside.
“Are you heading home now?” Riley asked.
She was amazed once again by what he was able to pick up so easily. She’d never met a man so aware.
“I have to go to the office to work on some things.”
“Office?” he said. “I thought the office was closed.”
“I’m not the one who got married,” she said with a smile. “Besides, I’ve got to get ready to grab the rest of my things from the storage unit. There’s some stuff I really need in there for work, and I just want the rest of my stuff.”
She could sense the frown across the line without even hearing a sound.
“What storage unit?”
Anna hesitated to tell him. She knew he was upset that she had seen Jason on her own, and it would only make it worse that her ex didn’t actually have her things to give to her. But still, Riley was waiting for an answer and not answering would only make the hyper-vigilant man that much more suspicious.
“When I saw Jason, he was supposed to have my things,” she said softly. “It seems he moved my stuff into a storage unit, and so I’ve got to go and pick up my things there.”
“What time?” Riley asked.
She glanced over to the clock on the car. It was already edging towards noon. She’d have to make several calls around town to start setting up catering and flowers.
“Five?”
“Wait for me,” he said softly. “I’ll pick you up from work, and we can go over there together. You’re going to want help moving things anyway.”
Her heart fluttered in her chest. She had been dreading going over there and was grateful to have someone to go with her, especially someone like Riley. Somehow his strength gave her strength, and it made her feel like she could make it through things.
“Thank you,” she said softly.
“Always,” he said. “Five o’clock.”
Chapter Nine
Riley sat in the parking lot just outside of the office building where Claire and Anna worked. It was still a few minutes before five, and he was waiting for her to come out.
He was happy to take her over to the storage unit to get her belongings, but it pissed him off that her douche-bag ex was still trying to control some piece of her life. The fucker just didn’t know when to let go.
His killer instinct kicked in and told him to rub out the piece of shit, but he knew things where never that simple.
Besides bringing heat to the family, it’d upset Anna. For that matter, Riley had never killed someone who wasn’t trying or planning to kill him or someone in the family.
Maybe he’d stop by soon to have a little chat with Jason, but that wouldn’t work unless Anna approved, and from what he could tell, it’d only upset her.
Anna stepped out of the building and locked the door. He felt himself grow hard as he watched her. All of her long blonde hair was wound up on top of her head. Her legs were highlighted by the pencil skirt she was wearing, and her blouse open just enough so he could enjoy the bit of cleavage that peeked out the top.
He grunted both in lust and annoyance.
She was stunning and didn’t even seem to know it. Jason cheating on her had taken a bit of her self-esteem, and if Riley had to guess, she had spent a good deal of time comparing herself with the women Jason had cheated on her with. To him, though, there was no comparison.
Anna had a beauty about her that was more than just her looks. It was the way she smiled and laughed, the way she looked first thing in the morning with no makeup on, the way she looked when she came with her cheeks flushed and lips parted slightly.
Riley shifted in his seat to try to relieve some of the pressure he was feeling down south. Just looking at her made him want her even more.
It wasn’t exactly like he was a stranger to women, but he couldn’t remember any woman ever making him feel like this before. He’d wanted her for a while now, but now that he’d been with her, he had a hard time thinking about anything else.
Anna smiled as she opened the door and slid into the front seat of the car.
“Thanks for helping me out,” she said. “Jason said the storage place was on Main Street.”
“You have the keys?”
“Yes. He already gave them to me.”
He was a bit disappointed. For a moment, he liked the idea of stopping by at Jason’s with her to menace the man a little.
His thoughts returned to the storage facility. Riley knew the place. It was one several Kelly family “associates” often liked to use. It wasn’t really the place he’d think of a clean-cut lawyer using.
He snickered. Unless Jason was doing things that he didn’t care for others to find out about, like his then wife and now ex-wife. Big surprise, a selfish, self-centered prick offered more proof that he was even more of one than anyone had thought.
Riley drove along quietly. It had been a long day for him as he and Noel sorted out all the connections in town they could think of.
No one seemed to have a line on Stefano. Not even the Allens with all their detective work and security connections could find out where the Russians were hiding the man.
Ennis had all but dropped off the grid, and for the moment, Riley was glad they only had one enemy to worry about. Things could get messy and bloody quickly if too many people moved at the same time.
“Are you okay?” Anna asked.
Riley glanced over to her. He wasn’t used to making small talk with just about anyone. And hardly anyone ever asked him if he was okay. But she stared at him with worry on her face, and he couldn’t help but reach out to take her hand.
“I’m much better with you around,” he said.
Her cheeks flushed, and he loved knowing that he had caused it.
They pulled into the parking lot of the storage facility, and Anna pulled out the keys with the number on it.
Riley parked just around the corner, and they both got out and walked to the storage unit. He watched as Anna put the key in the door and pulled it up.
“That son of a bitch,” she said, clenching her fingers into fists. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but that asshole still managed to show what a bastard he is.”
Riley raised a brow at her. He certainly shared her opinion of Jason, but he was unsure of what brought on her particular rant.
She turned to him and crossed her arms in irritation.
“He told me that he sold all of this,” she said. “He said he sold it all and only gave me $200 for it.”
Riley surveyed the storage unit. By the looks of things inside, including a wide variety of both items and sizes, this was going to take several trips and more vehicle space. They obviously weren’t going to get it all done that night.
That wasn’t such a bad thing. It gave him an excuse to do something with her that was helpful.
“Why don’t we get what you need?” he said. “We’ll come back tomorrow with a truck and pick up whatever you want.”
Anna shook her head. “But that wasn’t part of the divorce decree.”
Riley frowned. “Pretty sure he doesn’t want to go back in front of the judge and let him know that he lied.”
Again, he resisted the urge to hop into the car and drive over to Jason’s place for a few threats. They didn’t need force in this situation. He realized that, but it would have been satisfying.
Anna gave a slow smile and hugged him. He loved knowing that he could be of use to her, even if it just involved reminding her of the legal ways to deal with her douche-bag ex-husband.
“You are right,” she said. “I think it’s time Jason learned just who he was fucking with.”
Riley grinned, liking the more aggressive side of his woman.
She happily climbed over some of the furniture. Her ass pointed directly at him, and Riley had to fight back the urge to run his hands over her sweet little pencil skirt.
She turned back around, handed him a box, and winked at him.
“Let’s get my stuff and get out of here,” she said. “I think we have better things to do.”
Riley grinned at her and piled another box on top. He couldn’t agree more. The faster they got this done, the better.
